The quick and easy setup gets your single point machining completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. The auto-feed function makes for effortless operation with minimal training. An adjustable angle tool holder allows end prep beveling of single and compound angles. Counterbores, grooves and facing are all possible with this versatile

tool. With one setup it’s possible to sever and square with the Clamshell Lathe, and finish the end prep with the Single Point Accessory. Introducing Mactech’s new 10 inch Adjustable Counterbore Attachment for Mactech’s popular line of Clamshell Portable Lathes.

The versatility of your Clamshell Portable Lathe is greatly expanded with this tool. The Adjustable Counterbore Attachment provides a wide range of facing and machining capabilities not found in a single attachment tool.

The Clamshell Lathe powers the feed across the machining face, and the manual feed moves the tool toward the face. Preset indexing tool positions allows for quick-setup RTJ machining and face feature machining.

The 10 inch Adjustable Counterbore Attachment can be used on all Mactech Clamshell Portable Lathes.

Energy Pipelines CRC Poised for a New Future

A SUCCESSFUL and unusual collaboration between academia and industry through the Energy Pipelines Cooperative Research Centre has resulted in new processes, products and services and a return on research investment for the pipeline industry at a rate of 4.5 to one.

With just five participants (the University of Wollongong, RMIT, Deakin University, The University of Adelaide and Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA)) the Energy Pipelines CRC is the smallest CRC in the Commonwealth co-funded program, but that makes little difference.

Wheatstone Nears Start-up Offshore Australia

PERTH, Australia – Woodside Petroleum has issued an update on its international exploration and development programs.

Offshore Australia, the Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG project is nearing first production. The offshore platform hook-up and commissioning, required for LNG Train 1 start-up, are complete. The trunkline is pressurized, ready to supply gas onshore. Final commissioning of onshore LNG Train 1 is also advanced and nearing completion.
